What they are

Bioregulators are very short peptides — typically two to four amino acids — originally isolated from specific tissues and later synthesized. The research literature, much of it originating from work on tissue-specific peptide regulation, examines each bioregulator in the context of the tissue it was derived from: cardiac, vascular, hepatic, pancreatic, thymic, and so on. They're studied as research compounds, not as approved therapeutics.
