Launching a Med Spa Peptide Program: The Supply-Side Checklist
Med spas are adding peptide programs faster than almost any other practice type, and the ones that do it well treat supply as a program decision rather than a purchasing errand. Here's the checklist we walk new med-spa accounts through.
1. Decide which families you're launching with
Most med spas start with two or three catalog families and expand: copper and cosmetic peptides (GHK-Cu, the GLOW and KLOW blends, SNAP-8), BPC-157, TB-500 and thymosin peptides (BPC-157, TB-500, KPV), and mitochondrial and cofactor compounds (NAD+, glutathione, epithalon). Starting narrow keeps inventory simple and lets your providers build confidence with a few compounds before the menu grows.
2. Get the documentation before the product
Your medical director will want three things on file: the certificate of analysis for each lot you receive, the manufacturer's facility and cleanroom certification details, and a sourcing statement for the API. Marinexis provides all three on request — ask for them on your first PO so the file exists from day one.
3. Order by the box, at clinic pricing
Clinic accounts order by the box of ten vials at a flat clinic price list with no volume minimum. There's no 3,000-vial commitment and no wholesale tiering to manage — pick products and strengths, set quantities, submit, and the team confirms by email. Reorders take a couple of minutes in the portal.
4. Separate what you stock from what you prescribe
In-office supply and patient prescriptions are different channels with different rules. Anything dispensed to a patient on a prescription runs through your licensed pharmacy partner. Keep that line clean in your own operations, and work only with suppliers who keep it clean on theirs.
5. Test before you trust
Request pre-order samples at cost from the lot that would fill your order and send them to a lab of your choosing. A supplier who hesitates is answering the question for you.
6. Plan reorders around lead time
Most orders are produced to order in one to two weeks. A simple monthly reorder cadence, with a small buffer on your two or three highest-movers, keeps you from running out between runs.
7. Ask the five questions
- Where is this filled, and can I see the cleanroom certification?
- Can I have the COA for the lot I'm receiving?
- Will you ship samples before I commit?
- What's the lead time when I reorder?
- Who do I call when something's wrong?
Marinexis answers all five in writing — on this site, on request, and in the documentation that ships with every lot.
